Food Service Cashier Full-Time Days – NEBH Job Vacancy in Texas, USA

Summary

Cash handling duties are performed under general supervision. Customers in the cafeteria or coffee shop are served.

Responsibilities

• Promoting customer service and building relationships with customers in cafeteria/coffee shop
• Establishes a cafeteria/coffee shop to provide service.
• Stock cafeteria/coffee shop to ensure adequate inventory levels
• Cash register operator in cafeteria/Coffee shop.
• All transactions/food orders (content, portion size) are checked.
• Keeps cafeteria/coffee shop clean.
• Follows established procedures when performing case-closing procedures
• Service in the cafeteria/coffee shop is guaranteed on time
• Chops, slices, peels, and food items for special order foods.
• If needed, functions as a grill cook
• Respect all BHS safety, sanitation, and HACCP guidelines
• Verify that all food items are properly labeled/dated/rotated at the time of handling and storage.
• Transports food to other locations as required
• Cleans washes and sanitizes dishes and other equipment.
• The department has sweeps and mop areas.

Education

Required: High School Graduate or Equivalent

Experience

Required: 1-year experience in food service and/or customer services

Preferred: Cashier experience

Certificates

Required: Based on the requirements of the city/state, certified food handler.
