General Purpose
This position is CSI’s Designated Schools Official (DSO), for F visa programs for SEVIS, and other reporting. Our full-time employees receive competitive benefits.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Keep F-1 visa-related administrative work; Issue I-20s.
- Students will receive guidance regarding F-1 student status policies and procedures. This includes assisting staff and students with questions and concerns relating to the Admissions or Registrar’s Office.
- Update student information in all CSI databases and the SEVIS database. Also, update internal reports and systems if necessary to ensure all documentation is received.
- Assist students in completing CPT applications.
- Other tasks may be assigned.
SupervisoryThis is not a role of supervision.
Education and/or Experience
- Preferably a Bachelor’s Degree
- You must be either a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident.
- 1-year experience as a DSO.
- Working knowledge of immigration regulations is required, including an F-1 student visa. Also, familiarity with all types of visas is necessary.
- Demonstrates experience in working with students, scholars, staff, and people from different backgrounds and cultures.
- Ability to assist others from different cultures with different levels of English proficiency
- A strong commitment to customer service.
- Ability to deal with sensitive cases and problems in a confidential and appropriate manner.
- Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing, with students, faculty, and staff of diverse backgrounds.
- Strong computer skills in word processing.
