Clerk Helper Job: Clerk Helper is a great entry-level position in the grocery business. There are many opportunities to learn and grow within our Save Mart family. The front-end is efficient when our Clerk Helpers provide friendly, quick, and effective customer service. As a Clerk Assistant, your goal is to build a welcoming and friendly environment in the store, which will result in repeat customers.

Our banners include Lucky, Lucky California, Food Maxx, and Save Mart. We have four distribution centers as well as SMART Refrigerated Transport. This trucking company transports dry groceries, frozen food, and other novelties to all Save Mart Companies stores. Responsibilities for Clerk Helper Job
- We strive to create a memorable shopping experience by greeting customers and being friendly and approachable.
- To ensure a safe environment for both customers and co-workers, perform store sweeps.
- Routine cleaning of registers, belts, and check-stand trash cans, as well as dusting and facing shelves.
- Take all shopping carts out of the parking lot and keep it clear for the duration of your shift.
- Price checks and assistance with returning items to the correct location. Perishables are a priority.
- Assisting Clerks in moving lines quickly during busy times. Bagging groceries efficiently and quickly, while taking care of quality and condition.
Requirements for Clerk Helper Job
- No experience necessary!
- You must be at least 16 years of age
- Ability to lift 40 lbs
- Walking, standing, reaching, and bending are all continuous.
- The environment can be both indoor and outdoor, with exposure to a wide range of temperatures.
- Proficiency in English reading, writing, and speaking.
- Excellent customer service
- Team players who are willing to learn, work hard and have fun!
- You must be available to work multiple shifts including weekends and evenings.
- Other duties may be assigned
