Pharmacist Jobs in New York, We are seeking a qualified pharmacist to help customers interpret symptoms and provide immediate treatment or refer them to a physician. You will also be responsible for preparing pharmaceuticals, reviewing and interpreting physician directives, and identifying any therapeutic incompatibilities.
You must be customer-focused to be successful in this position. Also, you need to be up-to-date with all the latest developments in pharmaceutical science. Pharmacists assist customers in compounding and/or dispensing prescription medication, providing information to healthcare professionals about pharmaceuticals, monitoring the drug therapy of customers to prevent interactions and offering advice to customers regarding safe and effective use of medications.
You will be responsible for administering the appropriate medications to patients as a pharmacist. This can be done by following a doctor’s orders or by attending to the patients’ problems and needs. This job requires a lot of knowledge and responsibility.

Responsibilities For Pharmacist Jobs in New York
- As prescribed by doctors, compounding and dispensing medication.
- Monitoring and advising customers about their drug therapy, as well as informing them of potential side effects.
- Instruction of customers about how and when to take prescription medications.
- Health and wellness screenings.
- Provide immunizations and other medical services such as blood pressure and temperature measurements and blood sugar testing.
- Maintain accurate customer records.
- Assuring a safe, clean and productive work environment.
- Complete all operational requirements for the pharmacy including ordering verifications, keeping records of controlled substances and charges, and removing expired or damaged drugs from the inventory.
- Respect all applicable laws, regulations, or procedures that govern pharmaceutical practice.

Requirements For Pharmacist Jobs in New York
- Experience as a pharmacist.
- A valid license is required to practice pharmacy.
- A thorough understanding of dosage requirements, administration, chemical compounds and pharmaceutical brands.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and software applications used by pharmacies such as MEDITECH or Mediware.
